UA CEAC Shares its Abundant Crop with Navajo Nation

Indige-FEWSS's very own Murat Kacira and his team from the University of Arizona Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC), Stacey Tollefson & Tilak Mahato donated 800+ lbs of fresh produce to the Navajo COVID-19 relief efforts. The Navajo Nation has been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and is in the third highest hotspot in the country for COVID-19 cases per capita.
UA's Assistant Vice President for Tribal Relations, Karen Francis-Begay, hand-delivered the produce to the Window Rock community in the Navajo Nation.
In a letter to his colleagues, CEAC Director, Dr. Murat Kacira communicated,
"On behalf of faculty/staff/students here at CEAC, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to donate fresh produce from UA-CEAC for the community in the Navajo Nation."
