Diana Liverman

Regents' Professor, School of Geography & Development

Diana Liverman is Regents Professor and Director of the School of Geography, development and Environment at the University of Arizona. Her work addresses the causes, consequences, and responses to climate change, especially climate vulnerability and climate justice, adaptation, governance, the role of the arts, and the links between environment, sustainable development, and food security. She was a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on 1.5°C and was recently elected as a fellow of the AAAS and a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
